Bushfire threatens multiple central coast homes, escape routes
Residents in Sunshine Acres, a suburb between Maryborough and Hervey Bay, have been told to leave now as a dangerous bushfire moves towards homes and roads.
Queensland Fire and Emergency services have warned a fast-moving fire is burning in the vicinity of Baxters Road and Black Swamp Creek and is likely to impact Sunshine Acres, as well as Corella Way, Honeyeater Drive and Finch Court, Walligan “imminently”.
At 3.30pm, QFES warned these communities are likely to be impacted by the blaze “imminently”.
