Residents from 20 Sydney suburbs have been put on high alert for symptoms of COVID – even as an easing of restrictions looms.

Around 88,000 residents in south-western Sydney have been urged to stay vigilant for coronavirus symptoms after traces of the virus were found in wastewater samples.
Ongoing sewage surveillance by NSW Health found fragments of the virus in the Ireland Park network on Tuesday night.
Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant said there were recovered cases in the area but it could also indicate undetected infections.
