UK strain of COVID-19 mutates again, may be more resistant to antibodies, research says – 7NEWS.com.au
Health officials are investigating cases that have the UK variant of the virus – with a concerning find in the form of new genetic changes.

The UK variant of coronavirus, which is already significantly more virulent than the base strain, has mutated again.
Public Health England reported this week that samples of the variant had a mutation that could compromise the immune system.
The mutation, called E484K, occurred spontaneously, according to published research by an array of experts.
Initial research indicates the mutation may be more resistant to antibodies, or even vaccines.
Moderna and Pfizer have moved quickly to say their vaccines…
