Trans teen calls on Queensland Government to change law around birth certificates

When 18-year-old transgender teen Lorelei Tuxworth started the process of updating her name and birth certificate to reflect her identity, she didn’t expect to get a knockback.

Her parents helped her submit the legal forms, and when her new birth certificate arrived, they were disappointed to find her gender was the same as before.
