Blood Bikes volunteers transport COVID tests, blood and breast milk to help save lives
Motorbike riders are volunteering their time to help speedily courier COVID-tests and lifesaving blood donations around the country.

- In 2019 a Brisbane man started transporting blood for health authorities after being inspired by a UK group
- There are now 165 bloodbikers across the country helping transport blood and COVID-19 tests
- Health authorities say their assistance has been instrumental during the pandemic
More than 150 volunteers have put up their hands to transport tests and samples from clinics to hospitals and pathology labs when existing services are not able to.
