Principal investigator of UK arm of Novavax vaccine trial says delays may mean people are better protected in long term

The decision to delay the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine could mean Britons get a booster shot more capable of fighting off the new variant, an expert has suggested.
The Government has been criticised for allowing up to 12 weeks between doses of the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines, with some claiming older people will be left exposed until they get the second jab.
