COVID-19 travel restrictions cited in WA’s worst January road toll in a decade

The father of a young woman killed in a car accident a week after her son turned one has urged drivers to pay attention, after January’s road toll climbed to its highest in a decade.
Key points:
- WA drivers have recorded the worst start to the year since 2011
- More than 70 people have died on the state’s roads in the past four months
