WA to relax hard COVID-19 border with Queensland, Victoria within days

WA will relax its hard border with Queensland and Victoria from next week.

From midnight on Monday, February 1, Queensland will be moved to the “very-low-risk” category, WA Premier Mark McGowan has announced.

Victoria will follow from midnight on Friday, February 5.

It means travellers will no longer have to complete 14 days of self-quarantine after arriving in WA, but will still have to complete a G2G pass declaration, including stating which jurisdictions they have been in during the preceding two weeks and whether they have any COVID-19 symptoms.

New South Wales will remain in the “low-risk” category, meaning travellers will still have to self-quarantine on arrival.
