Vic, NSW, Tas, SE Qld wet, Perth hot

The wild weather that battered south east Australia has subsided, but the majority of the east coast is expected to remain wet over the weekend.

Melbourne received an average of 43mm and a minor flood warning is in place for the Yarra River.
The BOM said the rain is moving into eastern New South Wales, but the falls there will not be as intense.
