Victim Kate Leadbetter’s dad ‘can’t even talk’
The father of a pregnant woman killed alongside her partner when they were struck by an allegedly stolen four-wheel-drive in Brisbane has been shocked into silence, her family says.
Kate Leadbetter, 31, and Matty Field, 37, died after the vehicle rolled and hit them while they were crossing the road in the bayside suburb of Alexandra Hills on Tuesday afternoon.
The couple, who were expecting a baby, could not be saved despite the efforts of witnesses and paramedics at the scene.
