Townsville MP Les Walker cops verbal lashing from Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk
First-term state MP Les Walker will be starved of a post-election victory lap in Townsville when he hosts a “disappointed” premier a little over a week after he was involved in a bar brawl.
The member for Mundingburra delivered Annastacia Palaszczuk’s Labor a nearly 3 per cent swing in the crucial Northern Queensland marginal seat at the October state poll.
But the honeymoon is over for Mr Walker as Townsville prepares to host regional cabinet early next week.
