US crosses horrific COVID death threshold
The US has just hit a truly horrific COVID-19 milestone, with the number of deaths almost equal to the number of Americans killed in World War II.The running total of lives lost, as compiled by Johns Hopkins University, has eclipsed 400,000 in the final hours of Donald Trump’s presidency.
It is estimated there were a total of 418,500 American civilian and military deaths in WWII.
