Qantas CEO Alan Joyce says only one out of Virgin and REX will survive
Qantas boss Alan Joyce has given a grim prediction over the state of Australias domestic aviation sector, following the announcement that Regional Express (REX) would be launching flights between Sydney and Melbourne from March.Speaking at an online event hosted by Reuters, Mr Joyce said that adding a third competitor to a route already serviced by Qantas and Virgin Australia would spark fierce competition – and that one will not survive post-pandemic.
