Siraj tells CA probe of racial slurs as new witness reports ‘no derogatory stuff’ – Sydney Morning Herald
Cricket Australia has begun interviewing India players about their allegations of abuse from members of the crowd during the Sydney Test.
While India reported racial abuse of Siraj and fellow bowler Jasprit Bumrah after day three on Saturday and then during the fourth afternoon of the match on Sunday, team management asked that their part in CA’s investigation be delayed until after the game.
Indian media had reported that Siraj had said to India management on Sunday that he had been called a “brown dog” and a “monkey” and sources say he has now told the CA probe he heard those terms from the crowd.
