Andrew and Rachel Chalk facing dozens of animal cruelty-related charges

Two Queensland pensioners are facing dozens of animal cruelty-related charges, including allegations they failed to properly provide accommodation, food and water and treatment for injuries for animals in their care.
Andrew and Rachel Chalk did not appear on Monday morning at Brisbane Magistrates Court when their matters were briefly mentioned.
The pair have each been charged with 64 animal cruelty-related offences under the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001, all alleged to have been committed over a month in February last year.
