Woolworths supermarket responds as shelves stripped bare in Brisbane panic buying frenzy

Woolworths has assured Greater Brisbane customers grocery supplies are not at risk after the announcement of a COVID-19 lockdown sparked widespread panic buying.
Massive queues formed as large numbers of people converged on south-east Queensland’s grocery stores on Friday morning, as seen in the video above.
By the afternoon, customers were arriving to find shelves empty.
