Steve Smith finds his form at the SCG, as Trent Copeland reveals some of his batting quirks

Steve Smith appears to have “found his hands” again at the SCG.
Australia’s star batsman had a mediocre stint in the IPL this year before telling reporters he had found the said appendages ahead of November’s ODI series against India. Presumably, they were at the bottom of his forearms.
A couple of spectacular hundreds in that series appeared to back up that claim, but Smith’s Test form has been terrible leading into the SCG Test.
Scores of 1, 1, 0 and 8 in the first two Tests represent the worst run of Smith’s career since his early days as a leg-spinning, lower-order batsman.
But back on the home turf and one of his favoured grounds, Smith has looked back to his best in the third Test, powering to 76 not out at lunch.
