The first of a BBL bonanza continuing an enormous day of cricket sees the Sydney Thunder and the Hobart Hurricanes battling it out in Perth.

14 overs in, the game has been left with a baffling moment.
After getting off to a great start, the Thunder’s run rate slowed to a crawl after D’Arcy Short was the destroyer with the ball, taking three wickets, including trapping Usman Khawaja for 49.
At 4/98, the bail inexplicably fell off.
On Fox Sports, Brett Lee spotted it but the umpires had to get to the bottom of the mystery.
It turns out it was knocked off by Hurricanes wicketkeeper Ben McDermott.
