Newcastle Knights general manager of football Danny Buderus has closed ranks around the Mitchell Pearce texting scandal but has hinted the embattled playmaker could be stripped of his captaincy.Buderus confirmed Pearce was in Newcastle but was not present on Monday’s return to pre-season training.
