Family and friends mourn ‘everyone’s best mate’, killed in alleged hit and run

Through the relative, they described him as funny, kind and possessing an “old soul taken too early”.
They said Mr Jennings, who completed his schooling at Matthew Flinders Anglican College on the Sunshine Coast, was “friends with everyone”.
Recently finishing the third year of a business degree at the University of Queensland, Mr Jennings had previously lived at Kings College on the St Lucia campus and was voted onto the college executive in 2020 as the social convenor.
Only weeks ago he moved into a house with three of his best friends and had expressed joy to his parents at being an “adult now”. Friends described him as loyal, the life of the party, and “everyone’s best mate”.
