Englishman Alex Hales put the bash in Big Bash with a spectacular half century against the Melbourne Stars in Canberra.The opening batsman made history by scoring the fastest half century ever for the Sydney Thunder, bludgeoning 71 off just 29 balls.
His sensational innings spurred the Thunder to their highest total in franchise history, compiling a mammoth 7/219 — surpassing their previous best of 209, which was made just a few days ago against the Melbourne Renegades.
