Ipswich woman charged with murder after 8-month-old baby found dead

A 34-year-old Queensland woman has been charged with murder following an 18-month investigation into the death of a baby.
In June last year, paramedics found eight-month-old Dexter, dead in his home in an Ipswich suburb in Brisbane’s west.
Natalie Whitehead was arrested on Wednesday and charged with numerous offences related to the alleged neglect that led to the tragic death of the small child, police said.
Detectives allege Dexter was neglected for “days” before he eventually passed away.
