Teen charged after pursuit on Warrego Highway
A Queensland teenager has been arrested after allegedly kidnapping an elderly driver during a tense police chase west of Brisbane.
Police spotted the Oakey man, 18, on Haig Street, Ipswich about 10.30am on Tuesday morning, allegedly driving a white sedan that had been reported stolen from a Raceview address about three hours earlier.
Officers followed the car from the air as it travelled onto the Warrego Highway heading westbound towards Toowoomba, but as he neared the town about 11.20am, he crashed into another car.
