NSW travellers caught out by NT COVID hotspot declaration mid-flight to be refunded
The Northern Territory Government says it will refund airline passengers who were caught out mid-flight by a sudden hotspot declaration.

- Travellers caught in transit have the option of a free flight home, or a cost-free stay at mandatory quarantine in the NT
- The hotspot declaration came after the number of coronavirus cases in the northern beaches cluster grew by 30 yesterday
- The Royal Darwin Hospital’s pandemic clinic has doubled its capacity and can now run 700 coronavirus tests per day
Acting Chief Minister Nicole Manison announced the hotspot expansion yesterday after Sydney’s northern beaches cluster grew by another 30 cases.
