Teri couldn’t afford a home in the city, so she bought a house in Queenstown — and might have just beat the rush

Until recently, Teri Young’s dream of home ownership was out of reach.

“Buying a house in Hobart was not a possibility at all for me,” Ms Young said.

“I’ve thought about places just outside of Hobart and investigated a bit, looked into getting loans from the bank and from family, and it’s all been just too hard.”
