Authorities concerned no patient zero found in Sydney’s COVID-19 outbreak

NSW authorities are concerned they have not yet found the patient zero behind Sydney’s latest COVID-19 outbreak, making it difficult for them to get a true picture of how widespread the virus is.

The state’s chief medical officer said until a patient zero is found, they can not be sure they are gaining ground on the spread.

“My anxiety is that we haven’t found the direct transmission route,” said Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant on Thursday.
