Tasmania outlines child sexual abuse inquiry’s terms of reference

Tasmanians have been shocked by allegations that employees of government departments have been perpetrators of child sex abuse.
Allegations both historical and contemporary have come to light through the media, the National Redress Scheme and civil actions.
Separate inquiries into the departments of Health, Education and Communities were announced earlier in the year.
As more allegations came to light, the Premier announced in November that his government would hold a commission of inquiry — Tasmania’s version of a royal commission — in 2021.
Attorney-General Elise Archer released the draft terms of reference on Thursday.
What will the commission of inquiry look at?
