Coronavirus vaccine: US begins rollout with first batch of doses

The first doses of Pfizers coronavirus vaccine have been distributed to frontline healthcare workers in the United States.America’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an emergency use authorisation for the vaccine on Friday. About three million doses have already been shipped from Pfizer’s plant in Portage, Michigan.
One of the first recipients was Sandra Lindsay, a critical care nurse in New York. Her vaccination was broadcast live, with Governor Andrew Cuomo watching on.
