When Rob Romyn was browsing Boxing Day sales in Brisbane more than two decades ago, he had no idea it would spark a new obsession.

He was looking for Christmas items on sale when he bought figurines of a church, a couple of villagers and some trees.

It was a purchase that would kickstart his creation of a Christmas village diorama in 1996 — a project that’s been growing in size ever since.
