SA travellers coming to WA plead with Premier to be allowed out of quarantine for Christmas

Travellers from South Australia arriving in Western Australia after the state’s border opens on Friday are urging Premier Mark McGowan to drop quarantine restrictions to allow them to spend Christmas Day with their families.

From midnight tonight WA time, SA will move to the low-risk category, allowing people to come to WA — but they still have to quarantine for 14 days on arrival.

Anyone entering WA from SA tomorrow will still be in quarantine on Christmas Day, with their 14-day mandatory period ending on Boxing Day.
