UK medical regulator investigating adverse reactions to coronavirus vaccine

The United Kingdom’s medical regulator is urgently examining reports of two serious adverse reactions to the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

- People with a history of allergic reactions are now being told to not take the vaccine
- Late-stage trials of the vaccine found “no serious safety concerns”
- The medical director of the NHS in England says both affected patients are recovering
The two cases are people with a history of allergies.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) released a statement on Wednesday saying the investigation had been made a priority.
