Court hears of shootings, metal pole attack as police bid to restrict freedoms of Alameddine and Hamzy families
Days before the execution of a notorious Sydney gang leader’s brother, a close friend of a rival family was beaten with a metal pole, a court has heard.

Police lawyers are going through the NSW Supreme Court to restrict the freedoms of the Alameddine and Hamzy underworld families over an escalating gang war.
Barrister Lachlan Gyles SC said the feud concerned the “distribution of drugs” and “retribution for killings and violence”.
