Happy Valley in firing line

A third bushfire warning has been issued for Fraser Island as worsening conditions threaten a major tourist village.
The Fraser Island fire has been burning for more than seven weeks, and razed through at least 50 per cent of the world-heritage listed site.
There are now three warnings active for the island, with Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advising people at Happy Valley, on the island’s east coast, to prepare to leave.
