Australia’s heart attack hotspots revealed in Heart Foundation map

Australians living in disadvantaged, regional and remote areas are more likely to be hospitalised for a heart attack than those living in capital cities, according to new research.Heart disease deaths are more than 50 per cent higher for Australians in remote locations, while regional and rural areas dominate the nation’s death and hospitalisation hotspots, revealed by Australian Heart Maps figures launched by The Heart Foundation.
