Scientists take ‘big step forward’ in efforts to kill cancer

Scientist have made an unexpected discovery about cancer cells.A team from the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) in Westmead, Sydney, revealed a surprising function for the protein actin.
They say the finding, published today in Nature Cell Biology, willspark efforts to produce new tailored therapies to kill cancer cells.
Actin is well known as the protein that interacts with another protein called myosin to make muscles contract.
