Concrete company owners appear in court charged with employee’s manslaughter after crash

The father and son owners of an Adelaide concrete company have appeared in court charged with manslaughter after an investigation into a fatal truck crash in the Adelaide Hills.

The driver of the truck, 30-year-old Parafield Gardens man Abraham Jabateh, was killed when his vehicle hit a tree and rolled onto its side on Spring Gully Road at Piccadilly on October 12.

Police launched an investigation and yesterday charged his employers, Tony Romano, 61, and Daniel Romano, 34.
