Snap strike throws state’s transport network into chaos – Sydney Morning Herald
NSW’s train network has been thrown into chaos after the rail union called an unplanned strike close to midnight.

Morning peak services across Sydney have been impacted, however; it is expected to reset and be back to normal by the evening.
Delays are being reported on services on the Newcastle and Central Coast, Blue Mountains and South Coast lines, which resumed after 7am.
“A reduced service is operating on these lines,” according to Sydney Trains.
A government spokeswoman said 31 services have been cancelled, with more than 1000 passengers affected.
