Thief peels back window to break into car

A thief has broken into vehicles in a unit block like they were opening a can of baked beans.
The vehicle owners were gobsmacked to see the manner in which the thief broke into their cars overnight on Wednesday to steal the most trivial items.
Angelo Cureg, who owned one of the vehicles broken into, told NCA/NewsWire that two of the six vehicles parked in the unit block at Nundah, on Brisbane’s northside, were hit.
“They peeled the whole thing off,” he said
“They took my partner’s empty wallet and our baby bag full of nappies and wipes.”
He was unsure whether it would be worth claiming the damage on insurance given the excess may be more than the repair bill.
