Former rich-lister Craig Gore jailed for super fund fraud
A former Queensland rich-lister has been jailed for swindling hundreds of thousands of dollars from self-managed super funds in order to keep his ill-fated business afloat.
Ex-property developer Craig Kirrin Gore sat quietly in Brisbane District Court on Thursday as Judge Michael Byrne detailed the lucrative sums he pocketed from convincing investors to enter high-interest loan schemes more than six years ago.
The Gold Coast businessman was taken into custody last month after he was found guilty of six counts of fraud in a judge-alone trial.
Gore, dressed in a slightly wrinkled blue suit, said little as he learned his fate on Thursday.
