Noosa’s Main Beach closed for clean-up after Schoolies spree

While there are no official Schoolies events in Queensland this year due to COVID-19, police are aware of large numbers of school-leavers in private accommodation around Noosa.
Police are keeping track of incidents involving schoolies, but so far the recent graduates have been well-behaved and authorities have not had to deal with any major incidents.
In August, Queensland Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young deemed Schoolies celebrations a “high risk” and imposed public health restrictions on event planners to shut down beach parties this year.
