South Australia will come out of lockdown almost as quickly as it went in. Here’s what residents thought about rules, reactions and accusations of lying
The threat of coronavirus has Australians and people around the world on edge.
So when a cluster of cases appeared to form in Adelaide, after South Australia’s fairly good run with managing cases, the State Government was quick to spring into action.
Premier Steven Marshall imposed a six-day hard lockdown from Thursday, with some of the strictest rules implemented in the country to date.
But by mid-Friday, it was announced that the fear of an out-of-control outbreak was sparked by a pizza shop worker’s lie to contact tracers, and the lockdown would end earlier than expected.
