South Australians are waking up to their first day in lockdown today after a “dangerous” strain of coronavirus spread rapidly through the state.
As has happened time and time again in the pandemic, South Australia was hit with mass panic buying yesterday afternoon when Premier Steven Marshall announced a lockdown for the state.
The lockdown means South Australians are only allowed to leave their home to shop for food and alcohol for an hour a day – but it didn’t stop hundreds of them trying to get a final shop in yesterday.
