Flagship $500m carbon farming project a ‘disaster’: Peak producers group

AgForce’s chief executive Mike Guerin says rural producers argue they can help reduce carbon emission more if Queensland’s flagship Land Restoration Fund is redesigned.
He said farmers wanted the Land Restoration Fund to be scrapped and taken back to the drawing board, redesigned to encourage carbon farming.
“The Land Restoration Fund in our view is great in theory, but has been a disaster in practice,” Mr Guerin said.
