Child sex offender Jason Tanira Kerr jailed for child exploitation
A former ATO worker, labelled one of the worst internet-based child sex offenders in Queensland history, will spend less than two more years behind bars before being eligible for parole.
Jason Tanira Kerr, 51, was jailed for eight-and-a-half years at Brisbane District Court on Friday for what Judge Gary Long called “egregiously unacceptable conduct” to sexually exploit children.
Kerr pleaded guilty last week to 111 charges before the court.
Those charges included 54 counts of using the internet to procure children under 16, 44 counts of grooming a child under 16 with intent to expose to indecent matter, nine counts of making child exploitation material, two counts of failing to comply with reporting and one count each of possessing and…
