Meteorite missing for five years is returned to Queensland owners
A meteorite missing from a Queensland museum since 2015 has been returned to its owners and a man has been charged.
The 11-kilogram space rock was stolen from a Main Street premises at Atherton in far north Queensland five years ago, when two men allegedly broke in.

Investigations led to officers searching a property in Mooroobool, Cairns, about 80 kilometres from Atherton, where they found the meteorite.
A man charged with receiving tainted property will appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on November 25.
The meteorite has been returned to its owners and it will go back on display.
