Court overturns damages against ‘lemon’ camper-trailer Facebook admin

While Mr Coles had taken the website down by May 15, a member of the Facebook group had already shared the link within it, drawing a comment from Ms Leigh on the post which named five companies – including Bruder – she said had launched or threatened to launch legal action after negative reviews.

Bruder demanded Ms Leigh remove the posts on July 2 last year. When she failed to do so legal action ensued, with the Brisbane District Court granting a temporary injunction on July 10 preventing her posting about the company or its products until the trial.

On November 1, 2019, a jury found Ms Leigh had published injurious falsehoods, causing Bruder actual loss amounting to $357,000. Judge Suzanne Sheridan issued a permanent injunction to…
