880,000 jobs at risk from climate change disruption: Deloitte report

Almost 900,000 jobs could be lost if government and business do not take action against climate change, a new Deloitte report warns. The nation’s economy is also at risk of shrinking 6 per cent, wiping $3.4 trillion from the bottom line, over the next half century.
But economists say if Australia does “rise to the challenge” and reaches net zero by 2050 it could unleash 250,000 new jobs and boost the economy by $680 billion come 2070.
