On a cold winter night in 2018, as a ball of fire swept across the skies of Canada and the Midwest, a team of meteor hunters turned to weather radar to determine its likely landing site.
The fireball had come to rest on a frozen lake in Michigan. Surprisingly, they managed to collect remains of the meteorite before its contents were contaminated by earthbound water molecules.
