Consumer prices have risen by 1.6 per cent from the June quarter to the September quarter, driven by the end of temporary free childcare and higher petrol prices.
- Childcare prices added 0.9 per cent to CPI over the September 2020 quarter
- It was the largest quarterly CPI increase in 20 years after a record 1.9 per cent drop in the June quarter
