Retailers hopeful for Christmas boost after turnover falls 1.5 per cent
Retailers are hoping the incoming Christmas trading season will bring relief from the challenging conditions sparked by the coronavirus pandemic. Australian Retailers Association chief executive Paul Zahra said the latest monthly retail turnover figures for September should be interpreted as a sign of optimism that trading conditions are beginning to normalise ahead of the festive period.
